Students are the real architects of society. Students of today are the responsible
citizens of tomorrow. So they should be disciplined from student life. At the very
beginning of the Academic Year 2016, they are reminded of the rules and regulations
of school for proper guidance in life.
All the students are asked to fill in their own diaries affixed with their photos
and those of their guardians within three days after receiving the same.

1. Students should come to school in uniform specified by the school. This is applicable
to all the students studying in this institution. Their uniform must be neat and
clean, and guardians should be careful to it.
|

Class V to X: Black half pant / Khaki full pant, white half /full shirt with
school monogram set on it, white socks, white cades ( synthetic shoes for monsoon),
belts with school monogram printed on it, (for winter ) navy blue half / full sweater.
|
Class XI and XII: Black full pant, white socks & black boots .Shirt, belt
and sweater same as those of Class V to X.
|
|
Students of Class V to X are forbidden to wear watches except exam days. Mobile
phones and any other electronic gadgets (not needed in school) are strictly banned
in school premises.
|
|
|
2. On normal school days every student must reach his classroom within 10.35 a.m.
and join the prayer at 10.40 a.m. The school gate will be closed at the time of
prayer. Loitering on the corridor and behaving improperly during prayer/school hours
are utterly undesirable, and it will be brought to the notice of guardians. Students
must enter their classrooms after the tiffin-break at 2.10 p.m.

3. 70% attendance at school is compulsory for every student (according to the rules
of WBSE & WBCHSE). A student of Class IX – XII having less than 50% attendance will
not be allowed to sit for the exam except valid medical proof regarding illness.
Students of Class V – VIII having less than 60% attendance will be allowed on certain
conditions.

4. According to the RTE Act. 2009, no student (Class V –VIII) will be detained in
the class he is reading in at present. Roll Nos. and Sections of students will be
arranged in order of merit. Their positions in the merit list will be determined
by the total marks obtained in 3 Term Exams.
Students (for promotion from Class IX to X/ Test Exam for Madhyamik Pariksha) must
secure pass marks in all the subjects according to the rules of WBSE.
The rules of WBCHSE will be followed for promotion from Class XI to XII.
No arrangement for re-examination is possible
if a student fails to appear on the particular day of exam. No average marks will
be added for this absence. A medical certificate in this regard cannot be accepted.
According to the rules of WBSE, marks obtained in the exams will decide a student’s
promotion to the next higher class.

5. If a student adopts unfair means in the exam, the exam of the particular subject
is liable to be rejected. If it happens again in the same exam course or in the
same academic year, all his exams are liable to be rejected.
|
|
|
6. No half-day leave will be granted to any student for some work pre-scheduled
(after being present at school). Guardians should not make a request for this kind
of leave.
|
|
|
7. The NCC unit has been introduced in our school as a co-curricular activity from
the Academic year 2015. A student above 12 years of age can take part in it with
due permission from his guardian. Willing students are asked to contact Sri Shantanu
Mondal for further details.

|
|
8. A well- protected cycle-stand has been arranged in the western side of the school
for school students for keeping their bicycles. They may keep their bicycles there
and enter school premises by the school gate in the west. Daily charges: Rs. 3/-,
monthly charges: Rs. 50/- & yearly charges: Rs. 500/-. Monthly/yearly charges are
to be paid at the office before the beginning of the month/ the year while daily
charges to the person in charge of the garage.

9. Cause of absence on normal school days should be written in the diary by the
guardian with signature & date. A medical certificate has to be produced for the
period of absence above 3 days (Prescription cannot be accepted).
|
|
|
10. Throwing litter here and there without using litters bins is strictly prohibited.
They must not throw plastic packets in school
premises. They must take care of school furniture. They must not step on benches,
making them dirty. Damages to school property by students will attract severe punishment
with heavy fines.
|
|
|
11. Coming out of the classrooms for playing in the open in between the two periods,
unnecessarily loitering and entering into the teachers’ room are strictly prohibited.
Marks for formative evaluation will be deducted for this kind of behaviour. If needed,
the monitor/class teacher/AHM/HM may be contacted.
|
|
|
12. Pupils are forbidden to misbehave towards their classmates. If it happens in
school or outside school, the guardian will be informed and then the proper action
will be taken against the guilty student.
|
|
|
13. If any certificate is needed, a student should apply to HM with proper reasons
together with a copy of his photo in school uniform (colour / black and white).
The certificate will be available from the school office two days after the submission
of his application. Please note that this application should be submitted to HM
by student himself after school break-up.
|
|
|
14. All the students are informed that self-attestation
is legally accepted everywhere. In spite of this, if a student wants to
get his testimonials and certificates attested by HM he should go to him only on Tuesdays and Thursdays after 4.00 p.m. Attestation
can never be made without originals.
|
|
|
15. Mid-day meal is arranged for students from Class V to VIII. Willing students
are asked to bring with them their own Tiffin boxes /clean dishes for taking mid-day
meal. After school being over, students are asked to stand in rows and leave the
school slowly in a discipline manner.
|
|
|
16. Students of Class V and VI are asked to leave the school premises immediately
after their classes are over so that the smooth running of other classes is not
hampered. Guardians’ cooperation is earnestly solicited in this regard.
|
|
|
17. There is space in the diary for recording the day to day progress of lessons.
Every student must fill it up (what subject,
which chapter) and get it signed by his guardian. His indifference to this will
be treated seriously and marks of internal assessment may be deducted. A student
must bring his diary with him every day failing which; his admission into the class
will be conditional.

|
|
18. Student of the first Sl. No. present at school from every section of Class V
to XII must come to the HM’s room every day after school hours and record the day
to day progress of their lessons with signature and date. This is a compulsory duty.
Hope, following the above rules, students will keep up the prestige and glory of
this educational institution which is more than 150 years old. With our concerted
efforts from teachers, guardians, managing committee and, above all, our dear students,
this age old institution of ours will be turned into an ideal educational institution
in near future.

Our Earnest Request to Guardians
|
Innocent are children, and they are like your sons. Please do not be a cause of
trouble to their well being. With this end in view, I (HM) want to make the following
requests to each and every guardian:
|
|
1. Please do not enter the school premises during school/ exam hours. As the space
is very small here, if you keep waiting inside, it causes an obstacle to our smooth
entrance to school. Please keep the entrance clear especially when school is going
to start.
|
|
|
2. Only concerned class teacher/ subject teacher can make a guardian aware of his/her
son’s progress. For this enquiry, he/she should take prior permission from HM and
then contact them from Monday to Friday between 3.20 p.m. to 4.10 p.m.
|
|
|
3. There is space in the diary for recording the day-to-day progress of lessons.
Please notice it daily and put your signature there. If it is left blank, marks
for internal assessment may be deducted. Beside this, you can have a clear knowledge
of day-to-day progress of lessons in the class.
|
|
|
4. Some days are mandatorily observed in school. Please encourage your son to join
the programme. If necessary, you will accompany him to school.
|
|
|
5. From the Academic Year 2016 our school going to make an arrangement regularly
for quiz, debate, seminar etc. in school hall on Saturdays after school. Please
ensure their presence in these programmes.
|
|
|
|
7. Please record any kind of chronic disease of your son (if any) in the diary and
inform concern class teacher of it.
|
|
|
8. If your address/ Ph. No. are changed, please inform us without delay through
a letter. If a student becomes ill while he is at school, it is only informed over
telephone.
|
|
|
9. School charges are paid only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (except exam
days). Please pay the charges at the beginning of the yearly session. For paying
the same, please come to school after 11.50 a.m.
|
|
|
10. If a trouble crops up between your son and any student of school, please let
the class teacher know about it. If necessary, please contact HM/ AHM. Please do
not solve the problem personally.
|
|
|
11. After school hours, please do not use school rooms for your/your son’s personal
purpose.
|
|
